MY FAVORITE PLACE

My favorite place is the sea because, I feel very good is relaxing and interesting. I like go to the beach all time, but my favorite time is in the summer it's warm. I like when the wind is in my face I feel very nice, I would like live in the at the beach . The food is delicious too. I like to do exercises, run, and play in the beach. The beach is relaxing I like watching the waves - they are exciting for me - I love that. The music of the waves, the moon on the sea is beautiful and very romantic. In my country Mexico has beautiful beaches.

MY CONTRY

My name is Vladimir Herrera. I am from Merida yuc. Mexico.
It's small city. The population of my city is about,20,000.
Meirda is in the South of the contry. Yuo can find beautiful beaches.
It has and ideal subtropical climate with an average temperature of 25'C
(77'F) and sunny days throughout most of the year. During the summer, the maximun temperature can reach 35'C`Merida is interesting.
The Yucatan city food is famous and beaches are, too.
The Yucatan people are hardworking and friendly.

THE PERFECT MEAL

I'm going to imagine for yuo the perfect meal. I am on a terrace high on a hillside in Nepal.
When I look out, I see I see snow-capped mountains in the distance. The valley below is hazy and beautiful . I'm wirh my friends Olga and Roberto. The table has a while tablecloth and a
vase of blue flowers. I'm going to eat all of my favorite kinds of food. First the waiter is going to
bring escargots. ( Escargots are snails cooked in butter and seasone with garlic and other herbs.)
Etc.

THE PRESENT PERFECT AND THE PAST PERFECT

My name is Vladimir Herrera. I am from Mexico. Right now I am studying English at this school.
I been at this school since January 2, and my classess began January 6.
Since came here, I met people. Last week, I went to a party at my friend's house.
I met some of the other students from Mexico at the party. Of course, we spoke spanish,
so I didn't pratice my English that night. There were only people from Mexico at the party.
However, since I came here, I met a lot of other people, too. I met people from Thailand, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. I enjoy meeting people from other contries. Before I came here,
I never met anyone from the Ukraine or Bolivia. Now I know people from both these place,
and they are becoming mt friends.+

FOOD FROM AROUND THE WOLD

Food that are well known to yuo may not be familiar to people from other contries.
Here are four people's experience whth foreign food.Shao Wong is a studen in France.
He comes from China .''I'd never tasted cheese or even milk before I came here. Cattle are
rare in my part of China, so there are no dairy products. I tried milk when I first arrived in
France. I hted it! I sample cheese too, but couldn't manage more than one bite.
I love ice cream, though, and tha's made from milk.''Birgit is from Sweden. She traveled to
Australia on vacation. ''I was in a restaurant that especialized in fish, and I heard some other
costumer order flake. So I ordered some too and it was delicious. Later, I found out that flake is
an Australia term for shark. After that pleasant experience, whenever Isee a new food I try it out on purpose. Yuo know why? I remenber how much I enjoyed flake.''
Chandra is a dentist in Texas. She originates from from India. ''I'm frightened of eating new food
because they might be made from beef.
